Chef Craig Cornell

Chef Craig Cornell has been in love with food for a long time. He went to the New York Cooking School for French culinary technique, then on to the New York Restaurant School. At the tender age of 23, with education in hand and a love for the business in heart, Craig bought the Falcon's Nest, a beautiful inn near Lake Placid, NY. After the 1980 Winter Olympic Games, Chef Cornell found his way to Vermont, falling in love with the Green Mountain state. He has been working and learning and expanding his skills in Vermont ever since… from his Inn at Tenney Brook in Rutland, to the Marble Inn and The Vermont Inn, where he won awards from Mobil and Korbel Dine Around - to Nikki's in Ludlow, to the Manchester Country Club. Craig joined the Okemo Mountain Resort team and now directs the culinary excellence of Okemo’s Epic Restaurant and the Coleman Brook Tavern.

Okemo Mountain Resort rises above the village of Ludlow, in south-central Vermont…a 4-season playground with a reputation for quality and superior guest services for skiers and snowboarders, but the area’s offerings extend to include hiking, biking, horseback riding and golf on two 18-hole courses with spectacular scenery… the Okemo Valley Club and the Tater Hill Golf Club. The Okemo Mountain Resort is a world-class resort destination with a world-class chef in residence, Chef Craig Cornell.
